Nolensville Community Kids Marathon

About Us

Participating Schools

The PTOs of Mill Creek Elementary, Sunset Elementary and Nolensville Elementary joined together during the 2017-2018 school year to form the annual Nolensville Community Kids Marathon. This event welcomes Nolensville area elementary students and their families to come together for a fun event that promotes healthy lifestyles, supports our schools, and helps develop a sense of community among our young families.

The Marathon

During the NCKM, runners will run a one mile course through the MCES/MCMS/NHS campus. We call it a "marathon" because it is intended to be the final mile of a 26.2 mile running program. Runners may complete the first 25.2 miles prior to race day with a school-sponsored Run Club, through their PE classes, or on their own. Tracking your mileage is not necessary - the 25.2 miles will be on the honor system! For the safety of all participants, runners will be divided by grade level and have seperate start times. Pets and strollers are not allowed. At the finish line, every registered runner will receive a NCKM medal. Families are welcome to stay and enjoy a celebration with music, food trucks and games.

For the latest NCKM information, follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/NolensvilleCommunityKidsMarathon/. Specific race updates including shirt/bib distribution, starting times, parking information, etc. will be emailed to registrants the week before the race.

2020 Theme

The 2020 theme for the Nolensville Community Kids Marathon is...WE RUN THIS TOWN, TOO! This theme plays off the "We Run This Town" motto of the Nolensville Running Club, who have been invaluable to the NCKM since its inception in 2017. The logo that will be on this year's t-shirts proudly displays the colors from each of the hosting schools - red for Nolensville Elementary PTO, orange for Sunset Elementary PTO, and green for Mill Creek Elementary School PTO.
