Participating Schools

Together the Mill Creek Elementary PTO, Sunset Elementary PTO and Nolensville Elementary PTO joined together to form the annual Nolensville Community Kids Marathon taking place on  April 14th, 2019.  This event will allow us to give back to all three schools PTO’s, which directly benefit each school.

The Marathon

The Nolensville Community Kids Marathon mission is to instill running as a part of a healthy lifestyle in our kids at an early age. Getting regular exercise is an important component in reaching a healthy lifestyle, one which is properly incorporated into our motto: 

RUN+EAT+DANCE+LAUGH.

The Race Course will be 1 Mile.  Why is this called a Marathon?  The idea is that students will train with their school’s run club to run 25.2 miles before the event.*  The last mile will be run, at the Mill Creek/Nolensville High School campus, where each student will complete the entire 26.2 mile marathon.  Once they cross the finish line, each runner will receive their own Nolensville Community Kids Marathon finishing medal.  

*We understand that each school may not have a running club.  Students do not have to be in a running club to participate. The 25.2 miles will be on the honor system.

There are several ways for kid runners to participate in the Nolensville Community Kids Marathon:

  • 1.0 mile fun run (each grade level will run at staggered times)
  • Run with your child: Parents or Guardians are welcome to run with your child and do not need to register in order to do so.  You will be required to wear the duplicate bib if your child is K-1st Grades.  Parents with children are asked to start to the back or sides to allow other children right of way.  Pets and strollers are not allowed.  

After the race, join us where there will be food trucks, a DJ and dancing to celebrate their accomplishments and have even more fun!

This event will take place rain or shine!  Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Key Dates

  • November 14, 2018 - Online “Early Bird” registration begins $25
  • January 14, 2019 - Registration begins (price increase) $35
  • March 1, 2019 – Online Registration Ends
  • TBD - Packet Pickups will be determined by each school
  • April 14, from 3pm – 5pm - Marathon Date
  • Location: The race will be on the Mill Creek Elementary/Nolensville High School campus.  A map will be given with instructions.

After The Race:

Join us where there will be food trucks, a DJ and dancing to celebrate their accomplishments and have even more fun!

Location: 

The race will begin in the Mill Creek Elementary Parking lot and end on Nolensville High School Football field. The campus is quite large and we will not be able offer any shuttle services this year.


Kids Marathon Ages:

For the 1-mile race, students must be Elementary age,  grades K-5 can participate. There will be start waves of different age groups (refer to the update page) on www.nolensvillecommunitykidsmarathon.org.
